The Skullbound Wyrm is one of the mutated beasts that are found in the toxic bloodlands. These creatures are rare and not much is known about them. Heros has the tendency of generating large biological responses to large magical events. It could be that the Skullbound Wyrm was born during one of those reactions, then corrupted by chaos.

What is well known is that only a few adventurers have ever seen the creature and been able to report on it. Maybe it is exaggeration and folklore. But the Bloodbound tribes oral history speaks of this beast and many warriors explore the wasteness of the Bloodlands to find it, defeat it, and perform their blood rituals.
